"Diamond glass cutter is the best way to cut glass any glass cutters can make the glass have microchips you do not want microchips in stained glass. Place the piece of glass on a flat surface with a slight raise below the cut area place a ruler along your cuts line time and score the glass fairly fast make sure you use gloves and protective glasses this is not something to try on expensive glass for the first time practise on something that cost less money ring stained glass"

"1. Glass cutter with a pistol-grip handle: This style of glass cutter has a handle that you grasp like a pistol for a secure grip and easy control. It works effectively for making straight cuts in stained glass and often has a bigger cutting head.

2. Glass cutter with a pencil-like grip: This kind of glass cutter is smaller and more compact, and it has a pencil-like form. It is suited for complicated curves and finely detailed cuts in stained glass because it enables better accuracy"
