Are plaster cornices usually screw fixed?

"i've never screwed them might sometimes use a nail just below as the adhesive goes of, some people have used no nials but i would always use the coving adhesive, even if you are a new build i would use the right glue if you use screws you will have more problems trying to fill the screw holes and make flush"

"We fix them with adhesive but if the walls or ceiling is badly out of shape then we pin a temporary screw above and below to hold it in place until the adhesive dries. Very rarely do we actually fix through the coving/cornice"
