"Yes definitely, that makes the decking safer, but I suggested the frame be built on top of the plastic pins, to protect the timber from water."

"No decking should belaid on 4 by 2 timbers not straight on top of concrete also a hammer drill is needed to drill holes in the concrete to secure timbers"

"It's not the correct way to lay decking at all, its best to pull the slabs up and start again from scratch."

"You shouldn't get weeds coming through but just getting the supports secure could be a problem"

"Presuming the concrete base is level, then I see no problem with building your decking over it, should help your level of decking to be honest.
Just make sure you don't have any dips in the concrete or the water will pull. If you do rescreed and drag a straight edge over it."

"It can be a tricky job if the concrete is not a level base or at different levels but can be overcome."

"Yes but you would still be required to build a frame first"
