    Best ceiling primer

What is ceiling primer and what’s the best primer for a ceiling?

"If your ceiling is freshly plastered you have to prime/Miss coat the fresh plaster. There is no primer for that really! You have to mix the paint one part water, one part paint. If you do not water down the paint it will just peel off the ceiling."

"I always find normal emulsion is ideal. Don’t use silk on fresh plaster you will regret it always put coat of emulsion before you use silk or a sheen"

"Normal emulsion is as good as anything. Water it down for the first coat then your good to go . Just do not use silk as the first coat."

"It all depends what the existing paint is.

The Zinsser brand will overcome almost all different and difficult surfaces.

    Purchased at Brewers Paint retailers.
