Are premium TRVs worth the extra cash?

Hi, I've been looking at different TRVs. I'm curious to know whether spending more on a premium TRV is worth it? What are your thoughts on this?

Absolutely, from experience I have only had problems with the cheaper TRV’S i.e. pins sticking, loose and poor performance. Rarely if at all have there been problems with top end TRV’S.

Hi Simon, I personally recommend a good middle price range when it comes to TRVs . Around £10.00 to £14.00 should get you a decent TRV and Lockshield set.

No, all work the same. All work are identical. So plumb Center own brand £5 work the same as Drayton £20

Up to a point, there’s an element of you get what you pay for whereby the better ones will last longer and replacement heads are available if necessary.

Branded ones do tend to last longer, cheaper ones get stuck frequently.
