Are big wall tiles a problem?

I've found some nice tiles for the bathroom walls but they're quite big. Will the size and weight be a problem for sticking on plasterboard walls?

"There is no problem about the size of tiles as the weight will be approximately the same of minor tiles.
You must proceed the same way using a good primer and in certain cases using a comment sheet before tilling."

"A general wall plug can support up to 10kg of weight in a plasterboard wall, though supporting an item with multiple wall plugs will obviously allow you to hold more weight. Wall plugs are suitable for items like pictures, mirrors, flower pots, and other light fixtures."

"The size of Tile used in any area will never be an issue providing the substrate they're being fitted to is mechanically sound, level, plumb, and flat... An experienced Tiler will have a tolerance they can work with as well if they use the correct primers and adhesives, and know the limitations of such...
If Tiling directly onto the plasterboard, make sure the correct types are used in the required areas! Tiling directly onto the plasterboard, also has the advantage of supporting more weight per Sq.M than if Tiling onto a Plastered substrate - 32kg per Sq.M as opposed to 16kg per Sq.M...
In short, you can use any material of any size to tile almost any area, providing the correct preparation, primers, and adhesives are used, and the Tiler genuinely knows their craft!...
Hope this helps and all the best with your project!"

"Generally speaking larger tiles are less forgiving of slightly uneven surfaces, both walls and floors. However, an experienced tiler can deal with this. So, basically providing the preparation of the surface to be tiled upon is prepared properly there is no issue and using a properly mixed adhesive. Ideally the plasterboard should be waterproof, however this depends upon the proposed usage of the bathroom."
