advice on installing a shower by myself or if a professional is needed

Is it safe for me to replace a shower by myself? Is this the type of work that should be performed by an electrician? Is it even legal for a DIY enthusiast to perform this work? If it is legal, what safety steps must I take?

"Mixer shower, you need a plumber and electric shower you need both. Do not mess with electric showers. They need a lot of energy and it's own fuse"

"It is ok to do the plumbing, any electrical work must be carried out by a qualified electrician with correct safety features like separate pole switch and correct cable, and mcb fuse board"
