    Just moved into a 1930's house with original parquet floor which is paint splattered and has raised about 2mm in the odd place around the edges. It seems very dry with no moisture evident. Can I lay laminate over the floor to spruce the property up.?

    RSJ and wall removal cost

    Hi, How much (approximately) would it cost to install an RSJ to an external load bearing wall between a dining room and extension in order to open the dining room into the kitchen? This is to make an L shaped kitchen diner. This job would involve the removal of a wall below the RSJ, approximately 7ft x 6ft.

    Boxing a boiler flue.

    Hello. I have a boiler flue that runs through the kitchen wall, into the adjacent room and out through the external wall in that room. I intended to use this room as a bedroom for my little girl. Is it possible ie safe to box a flue pipe in in this sort of situation? Thanks!

    Bathroom fan power

    I have power (using a mains tester screwdriver ) going to the fan switch in air cupboard. Power showing going to the new fan. It has a humidifier sensor. I ran the shower but nothing? And ideas. It’s a new fan as the other one never worked when I moved in.
