    New 'wall' to hang sliding doors from

    I currently have a open wall to ceiling gap between my kitchen and living room. I would like to hang sliding doors but these all seem to require a section of wall above the doors to hang from. I need to fit a 'wall' across the top of the existing archway that is capable of supporting hanging doors. What tradesperson would I need? And any alternative solutions to this issue?
