advice on fitting a new kitchen with updated appliances

I am looking to have a new kitchen fitted in my home. In essence, I would like to have my old kitchen completely remodelled. I am looking to have a microwave, fridge and dishwasher replaced with up to date, smart versions. I am planning to also have a kitchen island added and several cabinets replaced. Further I would like to have the floorboards replaced with engineered wood flooring. Finally, I would also like to have the walls and ceiling repainted. With all of this taken into account, what sort of price do you think I might expect to pay for this specific kitchen redesign/remodelling?

Fixing Windows that have condensation inside

I've just noticed that 4 of the double glazed windows in my mums bungalow have condensation inside. They arent that old and appear to be in good condition apart from the condensation. Is there anything that can be done to remove it or do the windows need to be replaced?

    Installing synthetic/artificial grass

Hello, I'd like to make some improvements to my small garden but I am not sure what the best option is. Currently, my garden is covered with paving slabs; it suited my needs for a long while but now I'd like it to have a bit more of a natural look and feel. I'd very much like having real grass, but due to my age, I'd not be able to take care of it. Therefore synthetic/artifical grass is my only option. I did some research and I believe I have two options: 1. Cover the paving slabs with underlay and place the synthetic grass on top of it or 2. Remove the paving slabs and place the synthetic grass. Options 1 appears to be the easiest, but the cost of grass and underlay is high and I'd assume it would not have the soft feel. Options 2 appears to be more labour consuming and possibly the cost would higher than option one. If the paving slabs are removed, is it necessary to lay Sub-Base and Laying Course? Thank you Eva

Any advice on the Honeywell CM927 Thermostat?

Hi all, I need to replace the thermostat for my boiler and the gas engineer recommended the Honeywell CM928, but it seems like there are a lot of negative reviews online. Does anyone have any experience with this and with any of the common problems? For example the LCD screen not working properly

    Rendering repair or refurb?

Hi, I think is a question for a builder...but maybe it's for roofers. We are looking to buy a Victorian end terrace which has been rendered. Our surveyor's report has noted some cracking as well as poor, patchy repair work to the render & has recommended that we get this repaired. Would you expect a better result from a complete overhaul of the render - remove and replace - or would repair work be adequate? And how much would you expect it to cost? Thanks!

    Low maintenance gardens help

Good morning everyone. I want to know what makes a garden low maintenance. How can I turn my garden into a low maintenance garden? I don’t have the energy these days to keep up with all of the cutting/weeding/trimming involved. I want a nice garden that has minimal upkeep.

Converting Conservatory to Extension with Downstairs Toilet

Hi, We have a conservatory with tiled floors and polycarbonate roof. Can we convert that into an extension, that could also house a small wet room/toilet? If so, what are the steps we need to take (hire an architect? get planning permission)? Completely clueless about possibilities and what we need to do to get this happening. Thanks.
