We're about to start putting our back home together after a minor flood and I was wondering if there are plaster treatments that deal with water/excess moisture better than normal plaster?

I have a problem that no one can seem to solve. On the left hand side of the window sil on the plaster a semi moon shape appears when it rains alot like a tide mark. It damages the paint. I've had a new window put in as someone said it was the window and the I had the roof re-felted back to the first rafter and boards put into the guttering but it still comes back. I'm at a loss the whole room was reskimmed. I've been out of the roof and used silicone to fill any visible holes. The last thing I can think of is the pointing but it seems OK to look at. I've had a roofer, a window person, a builder and yet it still comes back. Help ????

Hello Myself and my partner are looking at some new homes which feature pebbledash walls on the outside. We would prefer the traditional brick look, as best as possible, rather than the existing pebbledash. We would consider these houses if there are suitable removal methods. Can the pebbledash layers be removed without leaving stains or damage to the brickwork beneath? Could bricks underneath be damaged in the process? Is the whole process expense typically?
Hi, how can I re-evaluate a build control application if my first attempt to gain building control approval is rejected? What are the main steps toward making an application more likely to succeed?
