"Hi,

Most new windows now days are capable and should indeed block out noise from wind and keep your home thermally efficient. When choosing your windows and doors you want to make sure the glass is A rated. This should come as standard but worth checking. Another great example of blocking out external noise and cold is to make sure fitters are correctly sealing your new windows. We use a method called triple seal but not all installers do this.

Lastly, if you are wanting extra noise cancelation you could look at triple glazing, although more expensive it does work well, and we usually suggest installing triple glazing near buy main roads, airports or train stations.

I hope this helps.

"Hi, most new upvc windows are a lot better equipped to stop drafts with multiple gaskets that sit together to keep the cold out. We use liniar products and when fitting we seal with expanding foam and then silicone trims over the top to give exceptional results."
