"I would suggest aluminium as much stronger and would probably last longer."

Answered on 1st Feb 2022 - Member since Jan 2022 - report"Hi, The obvious answer to the question is aluminium as it is more resilient than most of the plastics. However, since we've been in the business; haven't come across any case where PVC frames deterioration were the main reason for the change of window. Hence we can say that in terms of shelf life for windows and doors the life of the window should not be the MAIN criterion ( our experience tells us its the price and aesthetics way before the shelf life comes in the line)
