What underlay should go with vinyl flooring?

"No underlay goes under vinyl flooring. It goes straight to the subfloor. If the subfloor is in poor condition it would be best to ply board it if it's a wooden floor. If it's a concrete floor you smooth it out with self leveling compound."

"if D.I.Y ask the supplier they will tell you correct stuff because if it fails and the underlay isn't correct or isn't need and used it will void warranty"

"If the base floor is uneven and you don’t want to ply or latex. You can use a loose laid underlay for you vynil"

"Nice easy one this. You need a compressed closed cell foam ideally to use with vinyl.
Similar to the one used with laminate however this one is more dense in consistency.
Be careful to use the right thing as problems will occur if not. There are a few on the market widely used so you should be able to find one suitable. Good luck 👍"
