What can I do about gaps in my wood floor?

There are notable gaps in my wood floor. Do you know why this might be and if there’s anything I can do about it? Should I have a professional take a look at it instead of dealing with it myself?

"Probably when the floor was installed the planks weren't dry enough, in time they shrink and you have those gaps.
I will say that you need a specialist to have a look to see if you can fill the gap or replace it."
