How do I unblock a condensate pipe on boiler myself? Before calling somebody out. Definite odour coming from the condensate pipe from the boiler and all down the pipe to the kitchen.

"Hi, if the condense pipe goes into the kitchen sink, it’s usually blocked by water and causes an air lock. If that’s the case the. You can just take off the pipe to the boiler and blow down it.

It could also be blocked my muck that has built up in the waste pipes under the sink which would then mean that you need to take off the waste pipe under the sink and clean it out.

Hope this helps!"

"definite odour from the condensate pipe suggests a blockage. To try and clear it yourself, first, identify the source of the smell, which is likely to be a build-up of debris or frozen condensate. If it's frozen, thaw the pipe with warm (not boiling) water. If there's debris, you can try gently clearing the end of the pipe outside or using a wet/dry vacuum to suck out the blockage. If the problem persists, call a Gas Safe registered engineer as further investigation or repairs may be needed, especially if the issue is related to the heat exchanger or other internal components."

"The condensate pipe is blocked due to the kitchen waste pipe being blocked.
Remove the kitchen trap, unblock it and reattach it. Have a bucket handy as when you disconnect the trap dirty water will escape."
