"yes, you are able to trim this off a solid door although think about how it would look with the top of the door too."

"Yes it is possible to do this if it is a solid door alll the way through it will be fine just that your grooves and panel looks on the door might look a bit off. If it was an egg shell door meaning hollow you can still do it but would have to put a strip of wood along the bottom to keep the strength at the bottom. Again your grooves and panel on the door might looks a bit off."

"Yes, you can trim that much of a solid door. Depends on the style of all you’ve chosen. You may choose to trim a bit of the top first and a bit more at the bottom to even things out."

"simple answer is yes, although you may want to take the same amount from the top and bottom to ensure the design of the door remains even looking."

"Off a solid wood door, you should be fine. Without seeing the door I wouldn’t want to Confirm or deny but you should be fine."
