Treating loft insulation after mice infestation

What's best to treat my loft insulation with, to make sure it's safe after mice infestation?

"You need to find the access point they are using getting into your home. Is your home detached or semi? Have you got air bricks around the home? If you can fit a biro into a hole around your house, then a mouse can squeeze through that hole. They like using drain pipes, vents, air bricks, vines or trees next to houses etc"
