Should I get triple or double glazing?

Is triple glazing always better than double? Just wandering before I start upgrading my windows.

I would only advise triple glazing if you are in a very populated area or near a very busty road, Triple glazing will reduce any outside noise.

Double glazing is just as efficient as tripple glazing..unless you live by a very busy road then I would always advise my customers to go with double glazing. And it's a fraction of the cost.

If you live in front of a motor way or near a busy airport perhaps triple glazing would be best, otherwise double glazing is just as beneficial and cheaper too.

This is a question I hear all the time and I always give the same answer.
Triple glazing is more beneficial for noise reduction so I would only suggest installing triple glazing if you live nearby a train station, airport of a very busy main road. Double glazing is more than sufficient for heat retention inside of your property. Make sure though that you are getting A rated double glazing with warm edge, argon gas filled.

Good afternoon,

this is common, there is a better u value with Triple so if your house EPC is generally good then this can push your value up. If your EPC is a B/C/D then we would only recommend Triple if you wanted to reduce noise from outside.

If its a heat issue then Double will suffice, though don't be tricked triple glazing isn't much more than double. Feel free to reach out for more help
