Replace floor joists - costs & estimates

    Flooring Specialists

How much would it cost to replace the floor joists and floor boards in a 12 foot by 14 foot room.

The room has a chimney in it and is on the ground floor.

The current floor is bowed quite a bit, any other suggestion for fixes other than replacing the floor would be good to know.

"I can't give a fair estimate without seeing it but you are looking at one days work which I suppose would be around £200."

"Other suggestions would depend on the type of flooring your going to have, and the condition of the boards and joists. I'd have to see it to put a price on it, its common and very rarely would I have to replace a whole room, most likely just a repair. I hope this helps."

"Hi James, thank you very much for asking, it is very difficult to provide you with an estimate without seeing what needs to be done, all sites differ from one another.

If we could arrange a house visit we would be able to help and provide better cost estimates.

Look forward to hearing from you.
