Repairing a damaged headstone

What sort of stonemason would be able to repair a damaged headstone? And are there any permissions I'd need to get?

"Hi,
You will need a Memorial Stonemason, one who specialises in Headstones usually made of Marble or Slate or Portland Stone if a Military one...
Thanks

"Monumental Mason you would require for headstone repair, if they are from the area they would contact council if headstone cannot be repaired in situ"
