Radiator cooler at bottom

Question

Why is my radiator cold at the bottom but hot at the top? Is this a problem? I've just noticed this is our spare room

I think the radiator is dirty. Need power flushing.

More then likely if this is only on one radiator, this is where the sludge in your heating system is gathering, there are a few ways to deal with the issue, System Cleanse, Power Flush or remove that radiator and just flush it in the garden.

The radiator need washing with inhibitor and take off all dirty water from the system and top up with clean water

Hi there your radiator has got sludge in the bottom try your other radiators you probley need the system flushed out sooner rather than later as the problem will only get worse cheers Frank

Hello. It often happens that the radiator gives off heat unevenly. usually the warm one is at the bottom and the cold one is at the top, in this case the radiator is blocked with air.
In your case it is the other way around, cold is at the bottom, hot at the top. this happens when the radiator is contaminated, e.g. with sediment.
This can be remedied by properly cleaning the system.
