Pull cord socket fell off

I tried to replace a pull cord, I cut the old one off and tried to unscrew the socket to loop the Bree string through, realised after it was much more complicated! I unscrewed a smaller white socket inside the socket and the lights went out and I accidentally dropped it with little pieces everywhere and have no idea how I can reattach the pull cord.

Probably just need a new one? Issue is now the light was still on whilst it fell out and i can’t isolate the bathroom and turn that off only.

"New pull cord/switch required, isolation of the lighting circuit will be at the main fuseboard."

"Call a qualified electrician. Don't mess with electrics. No one should tell you how to rectify or fit new component as if you do it wrong and are electrocuted you could sue them."

"Hi, yes you need to replace the complete pull cord and will only be able to isolate by mcb at supply until pull cord is replaced. Must isolate at supply before changing pull cord also"
