Moths eating carpet

Moths have eaten holes in my carpet. I'm having it replaced soon, but how do I make sure it doesn't happen again?

"Carpet moths and or Beatles you would normally find around or associated with woollen carpets, or natural fibres. You could also help prevent these by regular vacuuming, and also under items that are not regularly moved when normal vacuuming, you could also buy pheromone traps to help prevents these in the future"

"Maybe as a precaution replace underlay and treat floor space before new flooring is layed"

"The best solution is to get rid of the moths from your house. Use pest control services. Get your carpet cleaned regularly to get rid of any soil that can be built up in the carpet piles. Soil such as food bits can attract mice."

"It's the larvae that do all the damage so I would recommend you have the floor treated before you install new underlay and carpet"
