I’m missing some channels on my Freeview box. Why is this happening?

"Maybe the provider of those channels not supporting the channels anymore"

"If your missing stations there’s a lack of signal this could be because there’s a break or water getting into the cable or problem and a new aerial may be needed."

"Hello, I would suggest a diagnostic. There are multiple reasons that you could be missing channels. Look for a company offering a free quote."

"Possibly a retune could fix this, if after retuning you still have missing channels you may need to have your aerial system checked by a professional."

"You will first start by doing a retune of your Freeview box, if that does not fix it try a software update of your Freeview box followed by a retune. If none of the above work you probably need to hire an aerial specialist as you probably have a weak aerial signal."

"Your aerial may need a diagnostic check and possibly realignment. If you have a fairly modern tv, plug aerial coax directly in the tv and search. If your channels are complete, it may be the set top box."

"Your TV aerial may not be pointed in the right direction. And it all depends as well where you are in the uk. Some places can get lots of digital channels. Some get less"

"Probably would be worth getting a signal assessment done to see what signal strength and quality you are receiving. a low or bad signal would result in picture drop out, pixelation and missing channels. a signal test would also rule out any cable problem.

Also, try the auto tune on box as this may rectify the problem and restore any missing channels."

"Missing channels means there is very likely a bad signal coming from your TV aerial."
