I have a upvc door and it keeps catching. Why might this be and what can be done to fix it?

"The hinge has dropped. You need to call a locksmith to adjust or replace the hinge."

"Hi Karen,

It is extremely likely that the door is out of alignment. It will require adjustment/realignment from the hinges, followed by the adjustment of the keeps.

Hope this helps."

"Usually this is a sign of a faulty gearbox.
You need to change the gearbox and the cylinder."

"Could be the door needs realigning, or the keeps in the frame may need repositioning. Unlikely but possibly damaged mechanism in door not activating properly."

"Hiya, It sounds like your door is out of alignment and will need adjusting so it stops this happening. It will also save wear and tear on your gearbox meaning you won't have to pay out for an early mechanism replacement.
Many thanks"
