Is the work of locksmiths guaranteed?

Is the work of a locksmith who fits a new lock generally guaranteed? I can see some good locks have long guarantees but what about the fitting?

All work from locksmith should be guaranteed 12 months.

Most locksmiths give a 12 month guarantee. I personally give 12 months guarantee on parts and labour. Always ask if they have any qualifications

All locksmiths guarantee their work which is normally 6 to 12 months. 
If the lock is faulty within its guarantee then it would be returned. If the lock has a ten year guarantee you can not hold the locksmith to a  ten year guarantee that if it is faulty after nine years that he is not going to replace the lock free of charge.

Yes. In general most high security locks come with a guarantee, but any good locksmith should fit it correctly from the start, however most Locksmiths offer 12mths parts and labour warranty myself included, you can always ask at point of contact, hope this helps
