Is smart heating any good?

Should I have smart heating controls fitted? Can they be added to an existing heating system?

Smart heating is worth having if you want to turn the heating on at least 30mintues before arriving at cold premises. Otherwise, controlling the heating in your house manually can be seen better as you already know the system.  Personally, smart heating is good and would recommend it. They can be added to an existing system, but please clarify to the installer which system your central heating is (I.e combi boiler) so they can determine the correct smart heating thermostat to put in. Yes they can be added to existing heating  they're good for sticking your heating on at your work on  your phone

Yes, should have it installed. It will save on energy bills by allowing you to turn off and reduce heating when you do not need it. Also, it's very easy to install and can be added to any existing system.

They can be retrofitted to most systems but not all if it's an early type gravity hot water system it won't work. It would all depend on what you are after from having the smart controls fitted sone people are after the slight  energy saving while others like the app function on the phone to turn the heating on from anywhere
