Is it wise to remove an aerial?

I don't use my old TV aerial, so I'm thinking of getting rid of it as it looks tatty. But my friend says I should leave it up in case I need it in the future. Is it wise to remove it?

Hi there , if your tv aerial is more than 5 years old . I would strongly recommend to remove it . The 5G signal on the tv network is fully live now . So the existing old aerials are not working anymore . We can arrange to remove it if needed .

If you don't have a tv and you are not going to get a tv then you can remove it but if you àre going to get a tv then you will need it or you would have to get a new one

Most of the tv boxes require an aerial signal too and you can count on an aerials when internet is not running or other internet  issues 
The aerials made 5 years ago are still running fine ,5G signal will not affect them

You can keep it no problem it won’t harm and if you need it again you can reuse it

Yes if you don’t use it,  it’s even better to install a new one in the future if you need it again

You can remove it but if you do you won't be able to receive Freeview channels. Alternatively you could upgrade it for a new aerial

To leave your aerial up will depend if you would have freeveiw tv installed. In the future.
