Should I get insurance for a safe? What’s the best insurance package for a safe?

"A safe if bought new should have a certificate stating the security rating and therefore the amount of cash or valuable items it has been tested to protect. You can then provide the certificate to your insurance company they will then advise you from there."

"Probably best to check any insurance you already have. You may be covered or it may be a simple add on. Failing this go to old faithful - Google and compare quotes."

"It may be best to phone an insurance person to see what is best for you. And it all depends on what you are putting in the safe and the value."

"Well if you buy a reputable safe it comes with insurance. Cash starting from £1000 jewellery £10,000.

You also want to discuss with whoever you have home insurance with."
