How to remove oil stains from driveway bricks

There are some oil patches on our block paving from where a car was leaking that have been there a while. Is there anything that actually works to remove old oil from block paving?

The best thing to do is to replace the stained bricks

there are a few options but nothing is guaranteed, you can try a de greaser and then a TFR and let soak, there is also bio#s you can put down that eat the oil, or sometimes a blow torch works and just burn it out, if its a big patch and does get removed 100% you could lift the block and scatter them around the drive, we have had to do this a few times and it doesnt look to bad

Hi I’ve recently been back to a block paving driveway I did last year , where he’s car leaked oil ,just took them out about fouty and then took some out from other places and mixed in the new ones,power washed it all re sanded it and sealed it looks brand new now 
There’s a product that cleans oil and tar off certain surfaces but not sure if it would work on blocks 
Its called enviro clean which I got from Gemini driveway suppliers near Accrington, good look 👍

Hi. Unfortunately not if it has soaked into the blocks ? We have tried all sorts of specialissues products, very expensive too, but with no luck.

The easiest option is to take oil stained blocks out and replace. You will never completly remove the stains.

Would use steam cleaner with some brick acid or a oil based cleaner
