How to install a shower over bath easily

The bath’s been there years and I don’t know if all baths are suitable, or if things like the taps, pressure, or bath shape make a difference. Can a shower be added over any bath? We'd prefer if it wasn't electric, but is that the only option sometimes?

"The simplest way is to swap the bath taps for a thermostatic mixing tap if you have good water pressure"

"The most straightforward an quickest way to install a shower over a bath is to change the filler taps to a type which also has an integrated diverter for a hand hose connection, and connect a hose to that with a shower head mounted on a holster or sliderail. You effectively have a mixer shower."

"Hi.
You can easily replace your existing taps with a shower mixer tap.
If you have low presssure you may need a water pump"

"Hi there. Yes ALL Twin Bath Shower Mixers are Compatible..
The only thing you'd need to discover would be your Hot and Cold Water Systems Feed whether Gravity Direct or Indirect.

All Depending on Pressure at the Outlets..

Weak Pressure may require a Water Pressure Booster Pump

Best Recommended Systems for these applications are Combination Boiler Systems..

Hope this helps

"Probably you have 2 separate tapes. 1 for Cold water 1 for hot water. Replacing with a mix one that have a shower connection it will work"

"You can always have a bath shower mixer so it's a bath tap with a shower connection and then you can buy a riser kit the fixed head and hand shower attachment
This is quite often the cheapest way to install a shower as the pipework is already there

If you're thinking about installing our electric shower and you'll need an electrical feed from the fuse board, this bite itself can be expensive."
