How to get rid of mould on window sealant

Question

Can mould on window sealant be cleaned properly or does it need replacing? Some of it looks like it’s gone into the sealant rather than just sitting on the surface, and I’m wondering if cleaning is a waste of time.

Depends how long it’s been there the way you prescribed it. It’s not gonna clear off. So I think he’s gonna need redo it.

It’s better if will be charging all the seals  you can’t do clean properly there are some cleaner available in market but sometime it’s cost more then new seal

You can buy a silicone gel which you put on the sealant and then wipe off which cleans them. Personally, for a proper job, it'll always look better if the sealant is removed and resealed.

you can clean the mould with mould cleaner but it will return looks like you need ventalation to your windows.

Hi, it will need replacing, cut out old mouky silicone and reseal, also check outside seals to see what condition they are in too. Hope this helps.
