How much to replace outside pipe that has became disconnected

Hello I would like to know how much it costs to replace an outside pipe that connect to inside under my kitchen sink - it’s split in the middle and there is a gap. Water is now getting in from outside to under my sink. There is mould and crumbling plaster where the pipe is under my sink and crumbling plaster in the corner of my kitchen . Thank you

"If you are referring to replacing a pipe for an outside tap, We would typically quote £100-£120 for this."

"From what you’ve described, this sounds like a split external waste or supply pipe where it passes through the wall, and water is now tracking back inside — which is why you’re seeing mould and damaged plaster. That’s quite a common issue, but it does need sorting fairly quickly."

"Hi Holly,

It sounds like you have a classic case of "Water Wicking." When an external waste pipe splits or disconnects, water travels along the outside of the pipe and straight through your wall cavity. This is why you are seeing crumbling plaster and mould inside—the wall is essentially acting like a sponge.

How this should be approached by a professional:

Sun-Resistant Replacement: The pipe likely split due to weather damage. It should be replaced with a high-grade, weather-stable pipe to prevent it from happening again.

Mechanical Seal: A simple bead of silicone often isn't enough. Ensure your pro uses a weather-proof "collared" seal or a high-modulus sealant to bridge the gap between the pipe and the masonry.

The "Fall" Check: If the pipe is too flat, it needs a slight downward angle away from the house to allow water to flow correctly.

Damp Management: The mould and crumbling plaster won't stop until the masonry dries out. Once the leak is fixed, the area should be left to "breathe" for at least two weeks before any plaster repairs are attempted.

Estimated Cost:
For a standard ground-floor waste pipe repair, a fair estimate for parts and labour is typically between seventy and one hundred pounds, depending on your local rates.

I hope this helps you get your kitchen back to normal!"

"If the pipe is not in use outside you can just cut it back and cap it off I normally charge minimum of £50 when you put fuel and everything on top so I would say £50 to £60 for that."

"There's a few factors that would need considering to give an exact price. 1 is your location from myself, 2 can be dependent on work needed, 3 Materials
Local to myself cost is roughly £70 on labour plus materials roughly ranging between £10 - £20

Thanks
