How much should a uPVC front door cost fitted?

our front door is draughty and the lock keeps sticking so its time for a new one. what should a decent uPVC door cost fitted, we got quoted £950 which feels steep

It depends if your wanting a composite door or a standard upvc door. A standard upvc door with infil panel depending on where you live is about 400-500 but can differ if you want glass in the panel or a specific type of letterbox. Seems the person has put a mark up on the door and then charged for 2 mens labour. I personally only charge 200- 250 max for fitting dependant on how much finishing off is required trims etc

Without knowing the style and size of the opening its hard to say. The cheapest doors we fit are a 50:50 with a glazed top half and a plain white upvc panel in the bottom half. They typically only go in the backdoor though as a budget friendly option. These are £695 fitted in a standard size opening. £950 sounds about right for a UPVC front door.

I’d say that’s not too bad a quote to be fair . If you think of the cost of door , fixings , expanding foam , silicone and the trims required for the installation and then there’s waste disposal 👍🏼👍🏼.
