How much do carpet fitters charge?

I've bought the carpet and underlay myself. How much would a carpet fitter typically charge just for the fitting labour on three bedrooms and a hallway?

"Hi there!

The usual rate for a carpet fitter is anywhere from 200-350£ a day, depending on what is required and what type of carpet is being layed.

Hope this helps!"

"It all depends on the size of the area being fitted in square metres."

"For labor-only carpet fitting where you have already sourced the carpet and underlay, carpet fitters typically quote in one of two ways: a flat day rate or a rate per square metre.
For three bedrooms and a hallway, a standard independent carpet fitter will typically charge between £200 and £350 for the labor.
Because a job of this size usually takes a single fitter roughly half a day to 5 hours of solid work, they will essentially charge you a slightly discounted day rate to make the trip out worthwhile.
Here is a breakdown of how the costs are calculated and what extras you need to watch out for.Gripper Rods & Door Bars (Thresholds): Did you buy these too? If not, the fitter will supply and install them. Expect around £2 to £5 per metre for grippers and £5 to £10 per door bar.
Lifting & Disposing of the Old Carpet: If the old carpet and underlay are still down, they will charge roughly £1.50 to £3 per square metre to rip it up and bag it, or a flat fee of around £30–£50 to take it away. You can save this money easily by clearing the rooms yourself.Door Trimming: New, thick underlay combined with a fresh carpet often means your bedroom doors won't close properly anymore. Carpet fitters do not automatically shave doors down—if they have the tools to do it for you, they usually charge £20 to £30 per door."
