How many cables can I run from a satellite dish?

this question is a little vague, but for a house or bungalow and 1 tv in the living room, if you run 5 cables, you are ready for several options (tdt , sat hd digital television (DTV) broadcast in the United Kingdom, Sky UK , Freesat.

This all depends on the amount of ports on your lnb with out using a multi switch. Remember if you are going to be recording alot of boxes will need 2 cables run to it. If you are after a high amount of ports a multiswitch maybe your best option.

Hi harry depending on the size of the LNB. Most have 4 ports or you can go for an octo lnb which has 8. Both those types of lnb work for freesat or the old version of sky. For sky q to work along side freesat you’d need a hybrid lnb

You can connect as many as you want to a satellite system, regular freesat on a satellite dish and octo lnb will allow 8 cables

You can run up to 8 cables from an octo lnb, although you would probably be better off with a quattro lnb and multiswitch just depends on what you are trying to achieve
