How long does it take to fit a bathroom?

We're having a full bathroom stripped and refitted with a new suite and tiling. How many days should we budget for and is it realistic to be without the bathroom for a whole week?

"Depends on whether you have a friendly neighbour unless you have a separate downstairs loo. How long it takes is down to what you have done if the floor is tiled it can easily take a week and it will also depend on whether you fully tile the walls. There's no reason you should be without the toilet if it is absolutely necessary"

"Abdul it all depends on the state of the bathroom and what youre installing, in the new one,eg,if you choose wall pvc cladding, that may be quicker than tiles, some people even do underfloor heating while others choose not to do it,lastly some people choose simple things like free standing toilets, basins etc while others, go for the modern units,so every bathroom is different, but i would say between 1 to 2 weeks.thanks Dave"

"Morning - A week is a good place to start with a like for like project and depending on the amount of tiling, sanitary relocation, decoration, plastering, structural and complex electrical you could be looking in to the 2 week point."
