How can I tell if my subfloor is uneven

Hi, I had a wood floor installed some years ago; just wondering, how can I tell if the subfloor is uneven? Do I have to pull up some of the floor panels? And should I hire a professional to do this? Thanks for your time.

"Hi carol just get a 6 foot level then run it across your floor on different places and corners and you should be able to find out if your floor is on level or not"

"You might be able to tell from your flooring itself but the best bet is to have a look."
