Floating wood floor cost

We're replacing the carpet in our lounge and dining room, about 35 square metres in total, and like the idea of a floating engineered wood floor over the existing concrete. What should supply and fit come to, including underlay?

A typical mid-range breakdown for 35 m² would be approximately:

Engineered wood flooring: £1,500–£2,500
Underlay with damp-proof membrane (or combined underlay): £150–£350
Fitting: £800–£1,300
Scotia or skirting work, thresholds and trims: £200–£500

Really depends on what you want to spend per sqm. There are hundreds of different makes, thicknesses, brand names, there is no way of giving a cost before you work all that out. If it s agood floor ytou might want to go the LVT route maybe?

Hi Patrick dependant on what type of flooring 
Laminate would be cheaper   
Engineered more costly 
I charge around 20 m2 for laminate and around £40 
For engineered just for labour I don’t really supply and fit as it’s cheaper for clients to purchase direct

Hi I’m Shawn of sbflooring 
This obviously be done relatively easily for a skilled tradesman,personally the way I like to work with my customers is point them in the direction of where to purchase their own products and I just apply the labour costs,I find this works out cheaper for the customer especially in our current climate
