"im not a washing machine repairer but can say there is no straight forward answer to that how long they last depends on usage ,care of the machine and of course the quality of the makei would guess average warrenty to be 12 mnths with option to purchase longer but would say longer warranty would come with machine such as a bosch or smeg as less likely to break down,iv had a smeg now for 8yrs which washes workclothes covered in cement and often with nails and screws in pockets but apart from cleaning out pump due to nails ,coins etc blocking it its still as good as new , i know its important they sit on level floor or bearings can wear out due to drum spinning unevenly ,if buying new id advise spending that little bit more for a bosch or smeg one rather than cheapest one on offer,i paid about£400 if remember correctly but despite heavy loads and not exactly looked after as it should have been its been well worth paying extra for"
