Bed Bug covers will protect a new mattress and prevent it from becoming contaminated though it will not provide much protection if the the mattress has already been contaminated with an existing presence. This highlights the Aphorism that "prevention is better than cure".

If you are 100% clear of Bedbugs then they do protect them from harboring in the mattress. Please be aware that they can use any suitable safe cracks and crevices. These include bedframes, skirting boards and plug sockets etc.

In short- No. You need to treat the property with a residual insecticide or a heat treatment. They are notoriously hard to get rid of and may need multiple treatments

If you already have bed bugs then mattress  covers won't help. Bed bugs are attracted to body heat and co2 and don't just harbour in mattresses.

Hi i am afraid the cover will make no difference you will need to have the mattress
treated you can have the cover cleaned but please be carefull the bugs bite so please have treatment done asap
