DIY or professional lock fitting?

Will it make any difference to my insurance if locks are fitted by myself or a locksmith?

"It won't make a difference as long as the lock itself is an insurance approved lock"

"No, it won't make a difference to the insurance company. If your looking to lower your premiums then change your locks to British standard locks."

"Hello

This should not impact your insurance. What you'd need to be sure of is what your insurance request to be used to ensure you're fitting the right now"

"Yes especially if you are fitting 3 star or British standard"

"It will not make a difference as long as they operate properly and they are to the correct standard. You must ensure it is the correct lock if you have one exit eg a thumb turn cylinder. Look for British standard however I would recommend a loscksmith as some are alot easier to fit than others. If you can add eldetails to what lock or locks you are fitting I can advise you further.

"Always use an MLA approved locksmith. If your insurance company want to question the integrity of the locks or their fitting then you have someone to go back to."
