Cost to widen a driveway

Our current driveway is only wide enough for one car and we want to extend it to fit two. It's currently block paving. How much would it cost to widen it by about 2.5 metres?

This depends on ground condition as in soft ground or hard ground. Also the type of finish you want.  Really the best way is to get a quote. You will then know what sort of price your looking at.

The cost would depend on the length of the drive aswell but you should be looking at £1,200 to £1,500

Hi Elly. It is very easy to extend the width. Remove the edging blicks and any cuts. Install new edging and complete the construction of the extension and lay the new blocks to match the existing. Thank you.

You would probably need around 3 m extension by however long your drivers which you need to know the meterage of to give you a rough estimate but presuming your drive is roughly 5 m long I would probably think around 3000 to 3500

Would need exact measurements,say if it’s 2.5 by 8 meters long that would be 20Meters square then would be around £2200

With Base Materials Clearance and Labour I charge £100 per square metre so if you know the size of the area we can work a price out like that for you 2.5 m wired by however long should give us a accurate estimate, kind regards, Jack
