Conservatory bifold door cost

We want to replace the old French doors on our conservatory with bifold doors to open it up more in summer. How much does a set of uPVC bifold doors typically cost, supplied and fitted?

Hi I wouldn't recommend upvc byfolds only have aluminium byfolds there abit more expensive but so much better they should cost £1200 per pain and work better every 900mm and needs ro be a odd number to stack to one side thanak jg

Hi Harry, depending how many leafs the bi fold has, it’s roughly £1,000 per leaf supplied and fitted.

They normally work out £1000 per leaf supply and fit so for a 3 pane £3000 and so on but I would recommend ali instead of upvc

Hi Harry - unfortunately its a bit of a 'how long is a piece of string' type question.

A fitter would need to know the size and specification you want to give you a ballpark. When you say you had French doors before. Did you have a couple of side panels then which your hoping to open up with bifolds?

A very rough guide might be £3000-£5000 but this is kind of a shot in the dark given the lack of info.

Hi Harry I would never recommend a Upvc bi fold as they have endless problems I would suggest aluminium and supplied and fitted is around £2500-£3000

Depends on the width you have available once your double French doors are removed, bi-folds are okay in aluminium, I would not advise upvc. If the overall width is less than 2 metres bi folds will be, unless in two panes, to busy and the traffic door (main opener) will be to small. Dependant on the style of conservatory ie: dwarf wall style or full height glass, you could consider widening the aperture to take decent bi- folds, we have done this on several conservatories and the results are exceptional.
