Hi, I was wondering if it's doable, and how much it would cost to reduce the size of a second-hand P-shaped conservatory on one side by only 1 foot (by possibly taking out one window panel width and uPVC/poly-carb roof panels to match and adjusting it accordingly to match up with the p side. It's a complicated shape as it is a slightly L-shaped as it wraps around the side of my driveway. But it only needs reducing by a foot on that side to fit, and it was suggested as a possible solution?. But I would value your professional opinion as to whether or not it would be worth the hassle and/or expense? Also the cost of a steel base rather than concrete. It's a large area, 11' x 10 & 14 x 10. It's the 14 x 10 that wraps around down the side, but from the house wall it measures 8' 7", that would need reducing to 7' 5" as the width of my driveway is max 7' 10" but I have 5" soakaway on that side. Plus it would be connecting my neighbours boundary wall! Thank you in advance Y
The company that will be installing new windows on my home will not install sun/solar screens, and product warranty would be voided if we install them ourselves after installation. We were told the screens do not help with heat reduction and that they actually damage the windows by trapping the heat between glass and screen. Are sun or solar screens bad?
What can I do about condensation in a conservatory? How can I put a stop to it?
My children have a habit of slamming the French doors to our garden, despite telling them not to. Are there any mechanisms we can fit to prevent them getting damaged?
Unfortunately I have managed to create a multitude of small pitted markes in my front window from angle grinding near it. These mark's in the window I think have been created my how metal sparks and wont polish our. Leading me to thinking the glass within the window needs replacing. The window is 1100x800 is this possible to replace as a unit and how much would that roughly cost?
