Can you put a cat flap in a window

We want to give the cat access to the garden but we don't have a suitable door. Would it be possible to fit a cat flap into a low window pane? Is this something a glazier can do?

Yes, you can put a cat flap in glass. Firstly, have a new piece of glass cut with the same size & the hole cut out for the cat flap. This need too be a Double glazed unit.

Do you have any images? It may be possible to fit a cat flap, but I would recommend changing the glass in the lower section to a solid panel

From a metal fabrication perspective, you cannot cut into existing toughened window glass because it will instantly shatter. Instead, a glazier must order a brand-new double-glazed unit with a factory-cut, pre-sealed hole tailored to your cat flap.
