Can you install laminate flooring on stairs?
Morning.. I understand that laminate can’t go over the bends on stairs but I want to replace the carpet with something else such as laminate. Is it an easy enough task for a DIYer to end up with a good looking finished product?

"Hi there ...you could laminate the tread/ top and laminate the riser/ upstand( you may need to pin or glue in place) then you would need external beads for the ends of treads then internal beading where treads meet risers..... alternatively you could fix fresh timber treads on top of existing...paint,stain,varnish any colour and clad the risers in anything you like you can get great results.

"Stairs can be laminated, the only real difference is that the floor is glued to the stairs and not floating like on any other floor. Also you will need to purchase the Bullnose edging and this can be quite an expense when you consider the amount needed. Alternatively you can purchase cheaper bull nosing in the form of aluminium strips which are a lot cheaper. Also something to consider is the extra noise that is caused."

"Hello,
You can install Laminate or Wooden flooring on stairs depending on your budget. This is because you have to buy for edging for each step they are a bit expensive.
If you go on Google and type flooring for stairs you might able to see exactly the example.
For wooden floor on stairs you can buy each plank with their edging.
