Cable bracing trees

What does cable bracing trees entail? Is this something that can be done DIY? And if not, how much might this cost on average?

"Good morning Bill, bracing trees is not something you can do yourself as it needs specific training. I have only used Cobra bracing which is an industry recognised brace, the trouble is if the tree needs bracing then you have recognised there is a problem and therefore accepting liability if the tree/brace fails. Personally, I'd try other remedial actions such as reducing the faulty limbs in question etc etc.. without seeing the tree and the position it's in it's impossible for me to judge what's best. Contact your local tree inspector/officer for professional advice. As for the cost, it would be impossible for me to say as it depends on so many factors... hope this helps a little. Regards Mike"
