Are padlocks sufficient for shed doors?

Are padlocks really sufficient for shed doors or should I consider a stronger lock system for my shed?

"Absolutely not, I would recommend a mortice dead lock as a minimum."

"Padlocks are usually sufficient as the shed door is usually not very strong with only a timber frame and cladding. If this is the case then the door is not sufficient to have a stronger locking system. Ie 5 lever deadlock or ect. The door and frame will need strengthening to install such a lock. So Padlocks hasp and staples are sufficient as wooden sheds are not high security for keeping valuables."
